Whats a good down payment for a new car?

  1. First time establishing credit, possible co-signer, 35kish range.

  2. too much for your broke ass :(

  3. Nah nah nah. I got cash so get you're shit right before you talk shit.

  4. So is it better to lease or buy?

  5. You dont really want payments for 15 years on 35 thousand would you?

  6. Buy, buy, buy. Leasing is horrible in that you're limited to something like 15,000 miles per year and if you're a serious driver then it's not worth it.

A car at that price will fetch you a nice trade-in offer when it comes time to sell it. Make sure you have enough money to make monthly payments to the bank though. If you have bad credit then that can be a bumpy ride.

  7. Leasing is bullshit.

  8. actually i've been looking to finance a car around $20K or so, and putting $2000 down payment. Anybody know what kind of payments i'll be looking at?

  9. Oh man, the car options are racing through my mind. I have no clue what to get. All the new cars are looking a little too much. I was originally looking at the new Benz C class but I would easily be happy with a 350z. Time to start pricing up lexuses. Its nice for the first time in my life to say I can get something nice for myself. (in april).

As long as I have enough money left for my grow i'll be happy.

  10. Easily happy with a 350z? Haha, I'd be ESTATIC to have a 350z, I love the Nissan Z series, old and new.

  11. id fly out to california and get a shelby gt-c. 1 of 200 made, only for sale in california. just a shelby gt tho, you could probably pick one up for 35 at the end of the model year.

in 07 they made 8000 shelby gts for instance, a 08 gt-c is very rare. 1/200 will hold value well

20% does sound about right tho

  12. gnarly car (muscle) but I'm looking for sport or luxury. I'd love it though, I'd rather look for a supra or old skyline (impossible to find?) though. I'm just looking for something fresh off the lot (not literally brand new).

  13. Get a good used car... less money lost due to depreciation. Late year Supras are holding their value very well.

  14. Thats still over 10 years old. I really don't want to run into trouble that quick, but a Supra has always been my dream car.

Would you rather have power or gas mileage? They have some pretty dope hybrids now but I'd feel kinda pussy.
