You should totally watch Steins;Gate. You seem to be more into shounen so maybe watch Naruto or Samurai Champloo.

I highly recommend you ask the anime thread. All of the shows mentioned are entry level (which there is nothing wrong with) and many are outright bad sans FMA:B, Stein's Gate and Black Lagoon. However I would much rather direct you the the creme of the crop. Most of us have been watching for years and follow currently airing series. There is so much more to offer than Adult Swim/Toonami shit.

If you're willing to watch anime on PC, there should be no other alternative. It is much better to watch in 720p or Hi10p than the mediocre DVD rips on netflix with horrible dubbing.
