What would you do in my situation? (shorted 36 grams)

  1. So here's a little background info:

I met the current person I deal with through a buddy of mine about a year ago. He had Medical Juicy Fruit for $350 a zip and was a really nice guy. I started to go exclusively to him for a while with it being usually $1300-1400 a QP for brand name strains. I never like to get more than a QP and my dealings were always pretty good with him. It might end up being off 3.5-5.0g but he would always give me what it was off by the next time.

So I decide I could use a HP recently so he said he would call me when he got something nice in. He called and said he had Bubble Gum x The Purps so I went by to pick it up. He told me before heading over that the price was going be $2400. He also told me that he didn't have a scale and that it should be on point since it came "packed like that." I smelled and checked out the bud and was very pleased. I ended up talking to him for a while and went home.

It was late so I didn't end up checking the weight until the next day and it's off by 36g. I call my guy and his phone is going straight to voicemail so I leave him a message saying, as discrete as possible, hey, that was off over a full one, call me back.

I don't hear back from him until today and he got a new phone and number. He tells me he'll try and figure something out...then basically calls back and says no one will take responsibility because "it came like that" and "it's never off by that much."

He tells me that he won't give me the cash back for it but will just give me better prices from now on and get me the best batches to make it up to me. He would be charging me $2200 for a HP from now on.

Would you be okay with being given better prices into the future as compensation instead of cash in this situation? What would you do if you were in my situation?

  2. 36 grams?? hell noo bro im sorry but u gotta do somethin about that.

  3. Well do the better prices cover the cost of 36g? He did it on purpose, nobody sells $2400 worth of weed and doesnt weight it out. Hes trying to tell you that he bought it and didnt weight it out. In my opinion hes taking you for a fool.

  4. The only reason I believe him is because he only grabbed a lb, which was a half of the BG x Purp and half of some Trainwreck (which wasn't as nice) and had literally just picked it up. He had lined up someone to take whatever one I didn't want and doesn't usually have a scale because he's paranoid like that but he normally says the same thing and it's on point.

It just doesn't really make sense...why would he short me after a year of doing straight business with me? I don't know why he would try and take me for a fool when he knows I always check it and would notice.

I really think his guy screwed him over and won't man up for it, thinking no one would say anything and knowing he was going to be selling it without checking them.

  5. Well, your fault.

You didnt bring a scale #1. wow
You handed over the money without seeing it on scales.
You walked out the door after paying him, deal over.

Your asking us on a forum what you should do? You just got shorted over a oz, thats worth like 400 over here. Thats not little money, go beat his ass and steal it back. Hes not gonna give it back

  6. if anything demand for a ounce and you can smoke it and everythings good:smoking:

  7. You did what you could and your dealer did what he could. Honestly, if you're getting a QP for 1300-1400 that's basically 325 - 350 an oz, and then you're upgrading to HP's for 2400 which is basically 300 an oz.

Somewhere along the line between his dealer and him, there was a mistake and shit happens. You've been with him for a year, he'd always give you what was off next time and that was because those were his mistakes. This is obviously a mistake from higher up and you shouldn't blame him or get pissy like these other idiot posters.

He also IS paying for his mistake by giving you lower prices, 200 dollars off? From NOW ON? Do any of you guys know what math is? 2200/8 = 275 per oz

You lost oz and a half - 412 dollars which will be made up in two purchases and you'll start gaining money in the future.

Don't be an idiot, the guy is making amends but he's also not going to give you 400 up front because he also got fucked. If it happens again, it's not coincidence and you should find someone else or just start growing

  8. Listen to Kimchizzle and don't forget a scale next time.

  9. Yes, how can you not bring a scale when over 2 grand of YOUR money is at risk? This is honestly your fault, but if you still want to keep purchasing from him for the cheap prices from now on, then good for you.

OR, you can still get your money back with that HP if you know what I mean.

  10. Weigh before you buy. Enough said.

  11. You guys are idiots if you don't agree with this poster. I mean the dude is going to hook you up 200$ off everytime you come to him? Shit let him keep fucking up :D

  12. ^yes. This dude is smart. listen to him.
It sucks for short term but after awhile when you are getting HP's for $200 off it will add up and you will be glad this happened

  13. Kimchizzle is right, he is making up for it and sometimes that shit happens. You said too that you did not weigh it until the next day. I know in the past we have lost weight overnight by it drying out more so that could be part of the issue as well.

  14. You looked it over and couldn't tell it was off by 36 grams..Thats kind of hard to believe..and he is obviously lying to you about coming like that unless he is getting ripped off by whoever he is getting it from which I doubt. This dude played you out of more than an ounce...next time bring your own scale when somebody tells they don't ahve one

  15. Sounds like a mistake for me based on the few things you have posted. I doubt if someone was going to skimp a loyal customer, they wouldnt do it for almost 1.5 ounces. If he is going to cut 200 off each HP, I would go with that. I mean after two it makes up for it, so maybe youll be coming out ahead.

But from now on I would check it the second you get it home

  16. I'd say theres not much you can do about it now, just bring a scale always in the future.

    Where you from?
    QP's here are 700-850

  17. Hey being a middle man is a bitch of a job. Most people in that position would LOVE to be able to survive on cash from a regular job without all the stress.

Just like wal-mart, or burger king, or any other business, sometimes shit goes wrong.

If the guy is offering you a better price, he's obviously making an attempt to fix it. If he turns out not to give you the better price and it doesn't work out, get mad and tell people what he did. That'll hurt him.

Never resort to violence. I always tell people who threaten me with violence that they can come and try to do whatever they want, but if verbal negotiations break down, then my debt to them is cancelled.

If you try to beat money out of someone, the likelihood of you ever getting anything at all goes down significantly.

Hope it works out for ya man, just do like other people say and ALWAYS USE A SCALE.

If it doesn't work out, lesson learned. You don't want to get a criminal record over a couple hundred bucks.

  18. call him up tell him you wont buy off him till he makes it right if he can give u 200 off a hp every time u buy it he can give u 36 grams...

  19. This. This is why you come to GC. It's ridiculous how many people are saying "Oh, go over and demand for an ounce!!111 Kick his ass yeah yeah!!"

People seem like so much talk these days..
    :smoke:

  20. i mean who actually tries to short you over a oz. thats just asking for trouble.
i believe him unless he just made up that perfect story for the situation

also all you need to do is go to him two more times and you made your 36 grams back
