Well just looking for everyone's opinion. I am just about to harvest my first grow and for the next one I have a larger space. So I pose the question, how would you grow? I have everything I need for this grow, just looking for your guys' opinion.

Just to let you know, I have 13 1000w I can use, but I figure using 6-8 in that size room would be ideal.

Aero, Hydro, DWC, E&F, Soil, Coco, Bubble Bucket?
SoG, SCRoG, Vertical (Stadium like), any other ideas?
    How many plants?
Vertical Bare Bulb or Regular Horizontal w/ reflector?
Any other thoughts would be great!

    Thanks!

  2. I personally prefer soil for taste, fox farm ocean harvest.
The only issue with soil is the amount of waste you acquire quickly, a buddy of mine is very fond of organic hydroponics but I like dirt...
Screen or sea of green, regular horizontal hood with air cool, I would do as many plants as you feel you can maintain aptly.
Also, make sure you have a veg room/chamber and mother room/chamber to keep your yields rippin.

  3. I was planning on covering every 4x4 with a 1000w.
The room will be sealed and at 1500ppm of CO2.
The number of plants is significant if you considering training/trimming takes time for each plant.
    RDWC could be interesting.

Thanks for the opinion, who else has one!

  4. Yeah, Soil is just a pain in my opinion, plus then I would have to setup a drip system as if you look in my sig at my current grow, everything is controlled by a computer. Only thing I have to do is add nutrients and water once every 6 days to my 55 gallon rez.

    I have a completely different mother/clone room :)

I am itching to try vertical bare buib but I dunno.

  5. I am very jealous of the drip system. I was working towards that but shut down after six pulls. Try everything out man, honestly. The best thing to do is just experiment. Have you had any attempts with light movers or LEDs?

LED's are a pain and I don't need a light mover as I have enough lights to cover all the space.
In total I have the following lights:
    13 1000w
    1 Growzilla (Houses 2 1000w Bulbs)
    8 400w (Currently in use)
8 400w (Really cheap reflectors though, I hate them)

  7. Anyone else?

  8. Check this out! The only thing I would use 600w lights instead ;)

  9. Thanks but a legend or something on that would be nice. I have a separate clone/mother room. How many plants/lights would be nice.

  10. Always sticking to a 1 plant / 1 square foot. It's gonna grow and need some breading room!

Need a minimum of 50 watts per square foot to a maximum of 70 watts per square foot!

    600w, 90 000 lumens:

    3 ft x 3 ft = 9 sq ft or (10 000 lumens and 66.67 watts) / sq ft

    1000w, 120 000 lumens:

    4 ft x 4 ft - 16 sq ft or (7 500 lumens and 62.50 watts) / sq ft

There is 25% more lumens / square foot and roughyl 7% more watts with a 600w bulb.

Don't forget each bulb need at least 2 ft of space of each side to avoid overheating the room. Only exception is if you make rows. Then is 1 ft extra on 3 sides!

600w: 5 ft x 5 ft not to over heat your room!

1000w: 6 ft x 6 ft not to over heat your room!

So you need at least 10 000 lumens minimum and could go up to 12 000 lumens for a better result!

  11. If only I had some 600w bulbs/ballasts, great idea though.

    Any other opinions!

  12. Anyone else?

  13. I recently have been playing with bubble buckets and the results are incredible.Im about to put in a 44 site recirculating bucket system in the basement I am so happy with the results.

I would do the biobucket method.
I would run 2 systems. They would be 1 month apart.
    Perpetual grow.

  14. Nice! Yeah I am definitely going to try bubblebuckets just to see what its like.

  15. should be easy for you seeing how you have done aero.

I have taken 2-3 weeks off my veg time starting from a clone cutting.

Im about to start building 2 sytems with 22 sites ea.

Im going to look in to that growtronix. Thnx for that.Ive been wanting that for awhile.:hello:

    Good luck man.

  16. it's a great system. Makes my life easy, for instance I'm on vacation right now, and it will email me if anything goes wrong.

Once I harvest, I already have clones ready to go. Can't wait. I'll be building some buckets on Tuesday!
