What weed doesn't give you dry mouth

    I'm off to Amsterdam at the end of the month with a mate who hasn't smoked before. His one big concern is smoking something too strong and getting dry mouth and paranoia. Anyone know what strains have less of those side effects? I've only ever really smoked 'skunk' and UK cheese over here and I'm not really all that familiar with all these weird and wonderful strains they seem to have in Amsterdam.

    Tl;dr: What's the best weed to recommend to a first-timer who doesn't want dry mouth and paranoia.

    Ask the coffee shop owner, they'll probably know the strains over there better than us....

    Weed doesn't necessarily give you dry mouth, it's the inside of your mouth being layered with tar from the smoke hits. Try toking fast and don't keep any smoke in your mouth AKA taking too big hits. You shouldn't get dry mouth.

    Dry mouth is one of the best bits for me. Sit back, relax with something to drink.

    Dry mouth? Wtf.. Just buy a bottle of water..
    All the soft drinks in coffee shops are like 2.10€ :) for 2 drinks I paid 420 which I thought was funny lol :D

    Don't mean to be a buzzkill but dont you need a resident card now to prove you live in holland to purchase cannabis in the coffeeshops now? - I was looking forward to going for my birthday:mad:

    I seem to get drymouth randomly doesnt matter what strain it is.

    This^^^ but like seriously u get dry mouth even with out smoking and just not drinking so does ur friend flip and then get paranoid cus his mouth is dry anyway? Lol H2o FTW

    nope u don't need any card to get weed in Amsterdam, only ur ID :) came back from Amsterdam only few weeks ago, so the info is 100% :D

    I think the ban comes in for foreigners purchasing weed early next year but just in certain parts, but they're rolling it out gradually so it'll hit Amsterdam centre later on. The whole thing is ridiculous and confusing. Gonna hit their tourism industry hard.

    9/10 times I get cotton mouth from smoking weed, but I get dry mouth from just doing sports etc.

    I just want his experience to be as enjoyable and as worry free as possible. I don't want him freaking out and panicking on me. Hopefully he'll enjoy it and start smoking homegrown with me occasionally back home.

    I haven't gotten cotton mouth in a while. When I first started smoking I'd get it every time (and didn't mind it) but it doesn't happen so much lately.

    Well, dry mouth is irrelevant when you're smoking in a coffee shop which invariably sells hot and cold beverages :rolleyes:

    No bro, they have been discussing bans in holland for years. It will never happen - the government is not going to destroy all of their income from the coffee shops!

    Ask about strains that give a more clear headed high. What really causes paranoia are the strains that fuck up your thought process big time and cause you to see in slow motion.

    I find it hard to enjoy a high when I'm seeing a picture slide show.

    Not really. It isn't a simple solution of liquid exterminates cotton mouth. It helps, but from experience liquid doesn't eradicate it. Like I said before, I get dry mouth and simply taking a drink doesn't solve it.

    haha cottonmouth doesnt come from tar buildup in your mouth....weed affects the part of your brain that regulates salivation...thats all folks

    Actually the salivation glands can become irritated and stop producing saliva sometimes during smoking. That's why you don't get cottonmouth everytime you smoke. A common irritant would be tar.

    Drink hella water then smoke then drinkmore water. Only time i hve had excessive dry mouth was two days ago when I smoked some harsh ass schwag. That iono if this is paranoia but it made me feel insane. Like i was mental.
