Hi everyone. I need some suggestions as usual lmao. I’m trying to order a hlg-320h-54a but can’t seem to find them in stock at the usual price. They’re all around 120$. I found one, tried to order it, ended up with a very weird company calling me asking for random details and such lmao. Any sites you all have used would be great
mouser and digikey are good vendors I buy from regularly . Looking and yeah the driver you want is not stocked but the HLG-320H-54B is in stock everywhere . The difference between the a and b is a has a built in potentiometer for dimming where the b driver does not. You can either wire in a external potentiometer for dimming or just wire the two wire leads together for no dimming and full power always on . Oh and the HLG-320H-54B is about $85 dollars instead of $120
The 54a is also about 85$ if you can find them in stock lmao. The only reason I want the a is because I know I’ll need to dim for seedling stages. I’ve sadly never really wired anything, so I want it to be as simple as possible lol. How much more complicated would it be to wire in a potentiometer?
I would not dim for seedlings. I run 4000k, 135w for one plant at 40,000 lux. I only dim mature plants if they get too tall. Raising full blast is much preferred. I would not let a dimmer be a deal maker or breaker.
