What we did back home

  1. The old folks used to say that drying the soil out a week or so before harvest makes the plant send resin instead of water up to the top in order to save the flower, and I guess during the drying, the resin won't evaporate like the water would, making for more weight...I'm older now and wonder if this is the case, they also used too pull it up by the roots and boil water then dip the roots in the boiling water before hanging it???Were they just milking the clock or what?

  2. I knew growers back in the late 70's/early eighties that would routinely scald their root balls to give them an extra shot of fluid up the stalks. Trouble is, They never did any controlled testing to tell whether it was beneficial or just an old wives tale.

  3. Thanks, it would be nice too know if it was effective or not
