OMG pictures couldn't do it justice, went to an Italian American Sunday dinner at friends. Good red wine, antipasto with roasted peppers olives cheeses artichokes eggplant, bread & it barely started every course a marathon to finish with a smoke break between every course, homemade pasta ravioli, meatballs bragiole chicken sausage we never made it to the entree. It started anew with desertS and expresso. I could go for leftovers right now.
We've got an equivalent of your Crackerjacks here called Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs, not sure if yours has nuts in there recipe. There was no need for vanilla i found, but id like to pop the corn in peanut oil instead of vegetable...
Yes, Crackerjacks have peanuts in them. I haven't had any in a long time, I should pick some up. I used to deep fry turkeys and other things in peanut oil. I could cook a big bird in my deep fryer in like 45 minutes, if I remember right, and they tasted sooo good. The price for the quantity of oil I needed was usually way more than what I was cooking. It was good, though.
i’ve had that several times at catered events and deep frying turkey is an excellent way to cook the iconic bird
Sharon went to the casino this evening and brought home fish sandwiches with coleslaw and fries. Nice, big hunk of haddock on a bun. The fish stuck out three inches on each side of it. It was good. Oh yeah, she won $420 too...
Chicken ceasar salad. Had a BBQ bacon mac and cheese burger and cheese fries for lunch so I had to keep it light lol
An international affair of Mexican style black beans over basmati rice, Greek salad and German style sauerkraut.
We had dinner at Sharon's sisters tonight. Roast beef, with potatoes and carrots. Homemade cinnamon buns for dessert.
The whole meal was great and i'm glad I picked up a 12 pack of cream soda. Coke is almost $10 for a 12 pack now and I refuse to buy it at that price, I pretty much stopped buying soda all together. I was in the mood for something so I looked at the generic brands. Didn't really trust the "Coke" but I grew up drinking store brand grape, orange soda, and root beer. Went with cream soda for $3.49 / 12 pack and it tastes great
Sharon has to have her Coke, but I grew up on store brands, too. I like them better a lot of the time, and not just with soda. My middle grandson has a baseball game later and I'm going to pick up some cream soda on the way home.
