  2. Doom: Eternal

Very kickass game. Fights are hard but fair playing on ultra violence difficulty and you feel like a bad mofo but you have to earn it too. Playing the game Dusk definitely spoiled me with it's soundtrack and unfortunately dooms does not hit nearly as hard. The platforming is a pain in the ass and there's too much stuff (perks, abilities, etc) that would've been better if it was simplified a bit. But I'm still enjoying it a lot. Giving me the same vibes as playing through the halo 2 remaster kinda.

I played ultra violence until the point you fight the anti doom guys... Marauder maybe?

I need to go back and finish that game, I wanted to turn down the difficulty but felt like I just needed a break and never went back.

I've been playing Outer Worlds and Alien Fire team Elite. Fire team is pretty hard, but it's fun. Outer Worlds is sweet though, it's definitely what we all wanted from Fall out 4 minus the actual fallout lore since it's in it's own universe. Obsidian is so much better at this than Bethesda lol

  4. Haven't tried Outer Worlds yet but I'm a big fan of New Vegas so I might have to check it out at some point. Never even bothered with fallout 4 after hearing how bad at being an RPG it is.

  9. I could never make the jump from stacks of doom to hex tiles, civ 4 was about as far as I've gone as it was the version of the "original" civ1 just done up with all the modern fixins.

A little too dated to enjoy now, but civ 2 was always my favorite through.

Its funny I just replayed all of the 2016 doom and enjoyed every moment, then I went to move on to eternal (beat it at release then kind of forgot about it) and just couldn't replay it all the way.

For me, it was too many mechanics to pay attention to, I found myself more focused on watching armor and health numbers bounce up and down like crazy then enjoying the gore.

While I appreciated that the devs took a hard line on "play the game the way we designed or get wrecked" and it did make me a better FPS player, I much prefer my shooters to be more planning focused and open ended, like the hitman series or deus ex, or even metal gear. I like knowing I can either run in and mow everything down, or sneak around doing only non-lethal takedowns, or better yet never even getting spotted.

In reality though I usually stealth around until I inevitably fuck it up, then take out my frustration on any poor sap in a 4 block radius with explosives and full auto fire.

  13. God of War.

I just got to the top of the mountain and found out I need to go to the top of another mountain lol.

I never really played these games, I wish I could play the first 3 but this one is pretty sweet. The combat is extremely satisfying, and it's just hard enough to feel rewarding but it isn't really punishing.

  17. Been working through God of War still. I don't really know how long the game is but I'm starting to feel like I'm nearing the end point. I'm finally about to go to Jotunheim after all the shenanigans that prevent you from getting there lol.

The story is good, coming with pretty much no knowledge of the previous games I am not totally lost lol.

  20. I finished God of War's story. I still need to kill the Valkyries but I don't know if I have it in me lol. Now I'll be ready for the sequel. Usually I grind a game out right before it's sequel and then I get fatigued on the game, I've got a good few months break.

Now what to play... There's a game drought this summer for sure
