I need a new computer this is what I was looking at Processorentium 4 HT 2.8ghz 800mhz FSB 512kb[Is AMD better for gaming] 512 MB DDR SDRAM pc-3200-2x256MB NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra 128MB 8x AGP w/DVI S-video 80GB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM 8MB Sound Blaster Live 5.1
Depends on what you want to call better. but with a 2.8 ghz processor, thats straight man. AMD are better to overclock, but that takes life away from the processor. All you're going to get is the 5200? Get like an ATi 9800 pro, *drools* And if you plan on playing Halo PC, don't get an Nvidia FX series card, you will completely unsatisfied.
AMD's are also a lot cheaper, and better performance. ...I wish I had a mac, I am in love with the aqua i-face but they rip you off so badly...
Let's see what I can name off. I built it, but I can't remember to well. Abit NF7-S Mobo AMD 2500+ OC'd @ 2.2GHz Stock Fan 1GB of PC2700 DDR RAM Maxtor 60GB HD ATI Radeon 9800 Pro TDK 32x10x40 CD-RW Pioneer 16x DVD-ROM I'm using an ANTEC case modified with a reverse L-window and to side-panel 120mm Sunon fans. Add that to the two back and two front 80mm Sunons and it stays pretty cool for the amount of OC I do.
800 mhz powerbook G4 512 mb ram 40 gb harddrive mac osx 10.3.2 i love my mac...any other mac lovers out there??
