so i had to chop a male....do i still have to be worried about the sacks opening up if i leave them to hang/dry? i would like to dry it before storing it to use in hash.
you wont be able to make hash from an immature male, get rid of it if you got no other idea than that. males are unlikely to produce the glandular trichomes required to make hash and at the beginning of flowering even a female would be close to useless for making hash, so a male thats just started flowering is guaranteed to be useless. to answer your question - yes, Im pretty sure that if you dry a whole male plant thats started flowering, it will try to release its pollen at all cost since thats its last chance to procreate.
i agree with baumeister, it will continue to drop pollen for a number of days and you wont get any hash from it, literally non
