What to do when someone enters your house

  1. As far as I know marijuana stinks like shit, even with charcoal filters and grow boxes. So my apartment is going to have a little weed smell, no?
Obviously people are going to visit me, and common sense is to keep your little growing hobby your secret. So how do I keep it a secret when friends visit me or like when my boiler needs maintenance, or some electric stuff? How do you people handle those situations, I wouldn't want them noticing the smell.
Should I just spray the shit out of the apartment with febreeze or something lol?

  2. Ya I'd go with the febreeze, or even better like a lot of incense!

  3. My set on my old grow I had a 3x3 tent in a closet in my bedroom, I had my grow filtered with a carbon filter.

I had 0 smell in my room, I had a slight smell when I opened my closet door when in full flower. I just made sure I had negative air pressure in my grow tent and I had no issues at all. Unless I opened my closet and grow tent there was no smell in my room.

  4. proper ventilation and a carbon scrubber deal with 100% of my smell, unless like the guy above said the tent is open.

  5. With negative pressure and a good carbon filter you wont smell anything until you open the grow area. Ona is a great supplement to keep smell down when you have to open the grow area.

  6. I have a Phresh Filter. I got the one that accepts 6 inch ducting and is 24 inches tall. This thing is a beast, but it works amazingly. My parents were at my house for the weekend and they had no clue of my two huge plants which are entering the 4th week of flowering. Inside my tent they reek of that fresh bud goodness, but outside it just smells like fresh air thanks to my Phresh Filter. If you want no smell in your apartment, get a Phresh Filter. You won't be disappointed.

  7. I have the same problem bro..i'm always burning Nag-Champa(incense) works like a charm!

  8. Step 1: Immediately become silent

Step 2: Determine location of intruders

Step 3: Move to advantageous location

    Step 4: Dispatch intruders

  9. ^clearly didnt read the first post

  10. Carbon filter is a must if you are serious about odor control and not advertising your grow to your friends and neighbors.

  11. No wonder your friends don't drop by anymore........

  12. Odor control.

    1. Carbon filter relative to your grow area
    2. ONA odor remover (can get in the auto spray/gel/blocks/liquid) works better than any other air freshener hands down.... have tried a lot of them.
    3. ozone generator (they have small ones for about $80 for a 400 sq/ft area

I have a 4x4 grow tent with a CAN 33 with ONA block that sits inside it and slow running fan inside my grow tent. A CAN9000 that is hooked up to exhaust for the tent. A small ozone generator in the room that it exhausts too with a automatic air freshener with ONA in it, and then I have a auto air freshener in the upper part of house too... Most of the time you can't smell anything.. but with some strains, late in flower you still get a whiff :) If you are really concerned about smell, you will need to find a strain that doesn't stink to high hell like diesels/skunk ect... or invest in some serious air control.

Carbon filters last for a while, but still need to be changed, air / odor fresheners need to be replaced... So it isn't a one time investment. Carbon filters are from about $60-300 and last about a year. ONA runs about $8-15 and last about month. Ozone generators last a long time, but range from $80-500 (have to be careful with ozone, need to know what size area for what size generator to get, can be somewhat harmful to health/plants)

Take this for what it is worth, everyone will have a difference of opinion, this is just experience from what I have had, and what I currently use.
