What time of night do you dread waking up to the most? Is it Midnight - the witching hour? Dusk? 3:00am - the dead hour. Also said by the Warren demonologists to be the true hour of evil. Some people wake up just before dawn paralyzed and they cant move. Does anyone else have stories like this? I use to be scared of waking up at 3am after reading the Amytiville Horror.
I adore the night. The calmness of the very early morning is perfect for star gazing. I used to work a lot of night shifts by choice when I was younger, I always found the world to be so much more peaceful than the hustle and bustle of rush hour and the 9-5 I still like to go for strolls sometimes if I find myself up late. I still occasionally get up to my old mischief for a lark as well.
I tried to go to sleep at like 3 am last night. As soon as I closed my eyes, all types of horrific images filled my mind. If I managed to fall asleep, I was awoken by a nightmare that I forgot as soon as I woke up. I just remember the fear. I definitely get some type of feeling about being in bed at that time. But if I'm woke, I love the night. I'm usually a night walker
Every second of the night scares me, even though I love sleeping. I have visual snow and ringing in both ears and that's when they're most present. combine it with an overactive imagination and you get your mind playing tricks with shadows and shit. Last night I was convinced aliens were standing beside me trying to communicate. No matter how hard ive tried over the years to get over it, it's still there no matter how small, sometimes more apparant than others, that fear of what the fuck is in the dark?
The night is awesome. I use to live in the country side, where stars are a lot more visible. During the summer, I'd always sit out on the deck with a cigarette and a brew and embrace what the night sky had to offer.
I feel sorry for you that what you believe in actually makes you scared in your day-to-day life. I love having nothing to fear walking at night. I only last experienced what most of you are talking about when I was 12 or 13, every horror movie would go through my head that I've seen when I walked home at night, especially if it was really late. You shouldn't let trivial things scare you at all, like stories and myths. If you weren't told those stories and didn't watch scary movies guess what, poof, no more bad thoughts ever. And that's why I don't watch horror movies at all, rather pointless to me. Waking up and not being able to move(also known as sleep paralysis) isn't common but it is well known. Friends of mine have had it happen to them for up to five minutes and I read things about back in highschool. Before scientific knowledge I imagine this would be one of the scariest experiences one could have. I looked on wikipedia for the term and also found that the first english dictionary that had sleep paralysis in it, the definition was 'nightmare', which has turned into the term that we use today.
Yeah I'm with the bunch here, been a night owl most of my life. Only recently have I started going to bed at like 10pm and waking up at 8.
What the hell no I don't believe in the witching hour or the whole 3 AM thing so I can't say I'm afraid of the night. The hour I dread waking up to is 6 AM because I know I got to get my lazy ass up and work.
Well i like it cause of my hppd. Shouldn't do acid kids it can fuck your brain up. But yo i always keep a strap if im by myself
