    What the hell are these called? and what the hell do they do?

    times it shows up :

    0 : 48 - 0 : 54 <-- uses it to light the bong

    1: 00 - 1:06 <--- to light bong

    they use it too light stuff but how come they don't just use a lighter?

    That is common actually, it helps to burn the weed much faster so you can clear the bong without having to suck for 10 years. 2 lights and an extra hand works just as well.

    its so you dont have to use butane or any other material that gives off any potential bad fume.
    it works well. i use one sometimes.
