What the fuck is this pre -flowering?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Outdoors' started by Hungrower, May 14, 2020.

  1. What can this be? Pre-flowering? Or am I stupid? 3-week-old plants outdoor( bagseed)
White hairs hang out of the shoot at the top
If this is a boy or a girl? I can't decide now

  4. no sex is close to showing, ive never heard of plant flowering before sex it shown. I would give that another few days and see what it grows into. if I had to guess I see pretty bad nute burns on the other leaves. brown tips turning white I would say that new growth is already burnt

  5. you will see one or the other when its flower time

  6. Thanks guys, I’m taking a few closer pictures but they haven’t gotten the best, the white fibers are coming from the base of the plant’s new shoot (not a sphere)

  11. As long as your getting over 14.5 hrs. of light your plant shouldn't flower.

  12. If you are worried about them flipping you could do a foliar spray with Verde to keep them in veg until you have a minimum of 14.5 hrs of light per day, depending on where you are on the planet. Good luck.

  13. That’s normal growth and not pre flowers or pistols.

what you have pictured and what I think your concerned about are called Stipules.

    Stipule
Stipules are formed each side of a leaf at the base in some cannabis plants. They look like a tiny lance or dagger, located at the nodes of the cannabis plants. The function of stipules is not known, but they may be there to protect new leaf shoots. In other plants, stipules become thorns.
