  1. seriously, i just stumbled across these, i knew music had gone downhill but what is this shit, were they dropped on their head multiple times as a child? or thrown at a wall?

  2. Wow. Those were really fucking terrible. I don't pay attention to what's popular though, or anything modern, really. I'ts all been done before and I'd rather seek out the leaders than the followers.

  3. The first 2 just pissed me off, the last one made my laugh my fucking ass off, they got rated "worst video of the year", i don't know if they are really that shit or they're the best trolls going

  4. Music after 99 went straight to crap, for me anyways.

I'm sure it's been on a downward spiral long before I noticed the crappy money making music, til I explored classical, punk, and ska.

By punk, I don't mean your bitch boy bands like nofx or blink 182, stuff like dead Kennedies bad religion (old BR) ramones etc
Ska, fuck your 'no doubt' and 'reel big fags' I mean the real ska from the 30-40's. Skatalites!

  5. Same thing that was wrong with music in the 30s-40s-50s-60s-70s-80s-90s-etc.. because people dont respond well to change.. people who grew up in the 30s said 40s+ music was terrible.. old people said Elvis moved his hips too much.. blah blah blah

...but i agree.. music sucks nowadays.. but thats just my opinion

"You could find the abstract listening to hip hop
My pops used to say, it reminded him of be-bop
I said, well daddy dont you know that things go in cycles
The way that bobby brown is just ampin like michael" A Tribe Called Quest

Things go in cycles.. it will fade and somethin else will take its place.. and more then likely, it will suck

  6. True^

But back then music seemed less business, at least I think so...

  7. I think producers ruined music... Before that, bands basically recorded their own stuff, now you got producers telling you what people want to hear.

  8. Now shits all watered down... this is the age of the mixtape.. Artists come out with an unreal amount of material.. recycling lines/beats/choruses and nothings "original" anymore. People dont do it for the love of music.. they do it for the love of money. Music has lost its heart..and the kids are buyin into it because thats whats bein pushed on them.

ehh.. live and let live tho.
