<HR style="COLOR: #ecfcb2" SIZE=1> ok here's the problem. I've been doing this whole grow thing for like ten years but I haven't dealt with this problem for like 4 years and for the life of me I don't remember what I did to solve my problem. so the situation is this. I have these Rubbermaid storage tubs, there the 10 gallon ones, about 8 inch tall. I have great amounts of air in the water(plenty of air stones) and I have a power head to circulate it too. I use the super naturals aquagro, I as so add the 35% hydrogen peroxide H2o2. So it's not dwc but close and they have always worked great. however, I just move so I had to reset up my tubs but this time there's white chalky residue allover inside of the tubs, It seems as if the residue dust is attaching to every thing in the tub, it is spreading and growing like algae, but it's not algae.fficeffice" /><O></O> <O> what the heckis the white stuff and how do i get rid of it????</O> Any hep on this subject would be great.....
Well, I haven't been growing for 10 years, more like 4 months, but it sounds like you just got a build-up of fertilizer salts. They make special cleaners just for cleaning that crap off. The hydro store where I shop at sells them for just a few bucks. If that doesn't solve your problem, then I'd suggest to you that 10 gallon rubbermaid storage tubs are pretty cheap, and a quick solution would be to just chuck the old one and get a new one.
