I recommend 2x4 as it gives a 2x2 area for each plant. I've grown five in that space, but also filled it with just one. edit: recommended buy.
2x2 for each plant is perfect. I'd go with at least a 5' tall one. The 48" ones leave little room for the actual plant since the light needs space.
I use airpots, about a foot tall. My gals top out around 2 1/2 feet to 3 feet +/- above the top of the soil..
Nice. There is 3 big and 2 small pots right? How big are the big pots? Did you start growing all 5 at same time? Did you top them? All photos/autos?
These were all grown in 2 gal plastic pots. They were grown in an organic medium called 'budmud' except for one of them, which was in coco + nutes. They were all started at the same time; they were autos from SweetSeeds. I think I topped most, I may have mainlined a couple. The results showed feeding increased results (ie. the fertilized plant was much larger). The last picture is the coco grown plant. Also, all these plants were grown under a SpyderFarmer 250W light. Want to see a 2x4 one plant scrogged plant? Here you go: That was under ~320W older LED board.
Beautiful!!! The colors are gorgeous. The small ones. How many times you topped them? The big one. What pot size is it? I guess you topped it few times.
That was quite a while back. Here's a link when I started those seeds: 2x4 SpiderFarmer Auto Grow 2 gallon pots and topped just once. I don't think I topped any of those plants tbh; the main stalk got pinned down. Need to review the journal.
