I start the first couple hits at 375 and then the rest on 380 until its almost done which then I move it to 385
210*C to 215 *C is the sweet spot for me. If I go higher the herb starts to look cooked and develops a burnt popcorn taste. I use a Arizer Extreme vaporizer.
I'm with you. I'm a flavor guy and the first vapor is always flavorful....but then it starts to taste burned and toasted. I don't want that bad taste to be my last memory of the flavor of the flower. So, needless to say, my ABV is light brown in color and is quite effective for making canna butter. However, most of the stuff I made with my ABV canna butter is such a KO effect (probably because most of the THC has been stripped by vaporizing and all that's left are the more sedative components.
Ill start with it at about 355 and move up to 380 by the time the its just about finished. Gives a good thorough burn and i have so much abv saved up, cant wait to make some edibles for 4/20
wow I guess I've been using way to low lol but it seems like im gettin good hits.. I guess ill try some other temps like 365 and see what happens
All that really matters is how dark the herb looks at the end. Unless you're using a bag vape, temperature means close to nothing other than preference. Your draw speed has a huge impact on the temperature.
Im using an electronic vap the guy that sold it to me at the store said to use 300 but you guys are saying higher, i am getting good results with 355 - 365 now
lol. My buddy, who's a bit of an old school smoker, won't listen to me when it comes to vapes. He treats them like an electric bong. Turns it up full blast, lets it warm up for 15 minutes, then takes big ass burn popcorn smelling rips. He loves doing it that way and he's using his weed, so I can't say shit, but do kinda always laugh inside. Damn, old man, refuses to learn to vape proper.
With my Volcano, I run 1st bag at 365, next at 375. But, I've been experimenting with it at 400 and its hard to get past 1 bag. This is dependent upon the strain also, I have found. I generally don't run more than 2 bags through a fill though, I keep the ABV for cannabutter and it is POTENT!
