What strains would you recommend avoiding?

  1. What weed would u prefer to not grow again, and why?

The only strand I would now stay clear from (newbie here) again is Northern lights x shiva. I thought it was a little numbing. Maybe it was a complicated mix. Also, of the 10 seeds I think I only got 2 females. I'm guessing pure N.L. would be better.

  2. I don't like numbing weed either- the type of stuff that makes you feel detatched from the world isn't my thing. I call it "dopey" weed- strong stuff that doesn't have the best high.

If I could recommend any strain to try it would be Mazar. Super frosty, smells AMAZING, even phenotypes, stretches nicely- and my favorite part which is the reason I suggest it- is the floaty, soft high. It is comparable to your brain being filled with cotton, but not in a dopey way, in a "soft" way. Everything is more relaxing and peaceful when smoking Mazar, Blueberry has a similar high but Mazar would be my suggestion. :D

I haven't grown long enough to know what to avoid, but I know northern lights x shiva wouldn't be my thing from what you describe. I would be pretty upset to buy a strain I was unhappy with... I love my Mazar, got really lucky with it. It wasn't what I was expecting at all- you should try it!

  3. I grew some mexican sativa and it always makes my face incredibly numb. It doesn't make me feel detached but it isn't very strong lasting about 30-60 minutes max.

  4. That Mazar looks decadent! I don't know if I'd ever spend more than around $50 on seeds though. I was thinking of trying blueberry in the future; heard lots of good things. Bubblegum is the only other strand I've grown and its a very pleasing high. I'm about to try an indoor mix of seeds.
But the fact is weed ain't weed. There are some I would smoke (some I wouldn't), but its not WHY I smoke. These different strains really do get u high in different ways.
I'm trying to "weed out" the less than average stocks.

  5. hey eazie how would you describe the bubblegum high?

  6. Avoid a pure sativa for a limited-space indoor grow.

  7. i avoid anything that isn't sativa dominant.

yes, MOST IBL pure sativas are big and slow and impractical indoors, but durban poison, burmese & hawaiian sativa are reasonably compact, and the hybrid Cinderella 99 (C99) has the heart of speedy and trippy thai with the speed and stature of an evil, vile, putrid, abomination of a couchlocking indica.

by my tastes, i avoid anything that's not sativa dominant, but couchlock doesn't piss everyone off as much as it does me.

  8. grizzlybones,
the bubblegum is a full bodied high. Ya don't need to smoke much. Clear yet psychoactive. A real kick in the butt. Its a white strain like white widow is; these are higher in thc.
    recommended!
