What strains do med users prefer?

Discussion in 'Medical Cannabis: Treatments & Patient Experiences' started by CaliGrower, Jan 25, 2008.

  1. Indicas or sativas? Any particular strains that you med users prefer??

    tia...

  2. Indicas are for pain like White Rhino, Blueberry, G13, Kush mostly indicas because they have more of a body buzz. Sativas are more for anxiety and mental/stress. Satori, Kali mist, Haze, Mexican Sativa.

  3. I like indica's to help with my insomnia

  4. Can you choose whatever you want or do you need to have Indica unless you have something that would need a Sativa?

  5. depends what for.

sleeping or pain relief when you have nothing to do, generally it's the indica.
many hybrids offer similar pain relief but with less couch lock.
often for mood lifting, or any of the benefits but with less lethargy amplification, sativa.

but for the most part... any will do.
there are a few rare circumstances where going for sativa over indica or vice-versa can be worse for a condition, often depending on the exact strain and how well it has been cared for and stored.
on example is that for back pain, sativas generally didnt help me.

  6. for me its like this

Sativa or Sativa Dominant I used in the Daytime == Trainwreck, Caboose, Afghooey(yes mine leans toward the sativa end), OG Kush[i like my OG on the Sativa side].

Indica or Indica Dominant= Nighttime == Hindu Kush, GDP, Purple Urkel, LA Confidential

  7. My favorites are Trainwreck, White Rhino, and Nl5 x Haze.

  8. any particular strain people use to cope with MS and back pains?

  9. Check the stickies.
