What sort of container do you use to transport your marijuana?

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by spaceman682, Feb 8, 2003.

  1. hi. if you're going to a friends house to have a smoke, what do you use to transport your marijuana?
i normally use a tobacco bag, but they keep ripping and im losing pot all over the place, so does anyone have any good things to keep your weed in?
    cheers

  2. cellophane from cig packs is good, or I use sandwich bags

  3. standard non-zip sandwich bag... spread weed evenly across the bottom, roll up like a blunt :D, then lick the top to seal (keeps it from unrolling in your pocket, etc.)

  4. i use a film canister most of the time, i also have little glass jars around.

  5. I usually use a film container as well. Its usually that or a

    celaphane.. :smoke:

  6. What company is it that makes all those neat little aluminum or stainless steel weed containers and grinders?

  7. I have a small advil container, like the ones that hold only 24 pills. I marked it on the top with a sharpie, and that's where I keep small stashes and where I put the 2 or 3 nugs that I would take with me somewhere. I used this method to carry it on a plane over break. I just put the advil bottle in the bag that I put my razor, deodorant, toothbrush, etc.

  8. I never use baggies much anymore. I usually keep mine in a small airtight jar or tuppeware. And if i cant get ahold of those i usually go to the gas station and get one of those "M&M Minis" containers.

  9. I think sweetleaf makes the grinders. Well i have seen sweetleaf grinders anyway

  10. I saw some ad in High Times, this company sells round aluminum containers, aluminum jars, and these rectangle locking aluminum stash boxes...

  11. i have a little tin matchbox ... i usually de-stem and grind up half my weed then toss it in there ... then i finish smoking the other half from a baggie .. and when im done that bud ... i start on the container ... always nice and fresh ..

  12. I keep kinds in a glass jar, schwag in a plastic no-zipper sandwhich bag.

  13. I have a small metal box that used to be an address book, I ripped out all of the papers and just put weed in there now. I nicknamed it "The Box of Wonders".

  14. I always put my stuff into a film container right awaas soon as I buy it. They're airtight and keep your bud fresh and sticky for ages (at least until its all gone!). Its best if you can find an opaque container, like the black ones that Advantix comes in. I heard that cops can't look inside them because 1) They can't make an aresst on smell alone; 2) They can't see inside; 3) Unlike baggies, film containers aren't considered "typical" drug concealment devices; 4) If its in your pocket and you get patted down, its too small for them to wonder if its a weapon.

Some people say there are chemical residues left in the containers and you shouldn't use them, but I've never had a problem. No headaches, funny smells, or anything. Just to be safe you could wash it out first.

  15. umm..i think the cop would umm..OPEN IT!

  16. Legally, they can't. Not that cops are always legal of course.

This is what they say about it on the NORML site:

"Most courts have found while baggies are "distinct marijuana carrying containers", they have found that opaque envelopes are not (in addition to the added benefit of keeping the marijuana invisible). Other "safe" containers may include film canisters, opaque pill bottles, and eyeglass cases."

  17. I forgot to add:

"If busted on the basis of the aroma of marijuana, your lawyer should cross examine the officer about what training he has received with respect to detecting marijuana (usually none). Also, your lawyer should try to show that marijuana aroma can linger for a long time, making its presence inadequate to show that the defendant *probably* possesses marijuana.

Without exigent circumstances or consent to enter, the police may not search your house *solely* on the basis of marijuana smell."

  18. then how do they get to go through someones purse?

  19. I'm not a lawyer, I'm just writing about things I've read from reliable sources. I don't know the answer to that question, but I think that aspect of personal property varies from state to state. I really don't know. In any case, they can't reach into your pants' pockets unless they have reason to believe you have a weapon, so that's where I keep mine.
