What size tents?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by TheLostOne42, Oct 1, 2021.

  1. So I have 4 autos and 4 photos. If I intend on vegging until my autos are almost done... im at 6 weeks now.. should I get a 5x5 or 8x4. If anyone has either. How many plants do you run in your tent? 20210930_204500.jpg 20210930_204519.jpg

  2. For me everything in the Canna world has to be 'open architecture" ability to twist and bend into anything
the same here ..2 4ftx4ft tent one for autos the the other for photos
later at further expansion another 2 4x4ft tents, for germing, clones etc

like me the tents can be mounted on a pallet and shuffled about
by fork truck complete with its own light and venting
aircraft hangers are going cheap ...lol

    good luck

  3. Maybe one day I'll get the aircraft hanger lol. But the 4x8 was bought for $140, figured why not.

  4. What brand? I'd be a little worried about quality at that price point.

  5. It was viparspectra, sure it ain't the best of the best. But it floats my boat. No light leaks, and being a new grower. Ive unzipped and zipped that tent more time than you could guess. Only time will tell

  6. No expierence with them but their newest lights are awesome quality. 160 just sounded like it might be one of the super low budget basically unbranded tents that start falling apart after a week.

  7. Yeah was definitely a gamble, but no complaints thus far. Want to try their new lights aswell. But as a company they seem to have ok quality at a decent price.

  8. I have been devoted to bulbs (first HPS though ive been playing with CMH) my whole life. But even i bought one of these. And when i realized how good the quality was, i bought another. I usually just do the one big winter grow when the heat from the bulbs is a good thing and temperature is extremely easy to control. But now i might do a little (and i mean really little) summer grow with these. Or to say the least, i can start my plants much, much earlier and maybe even get 2 grows done in one winter. It costs a dollar a day to run one 315cmh. The most these led boards will cost is like 30 cents each. I might even keep a mother plant around.

  9. Leds are definitely not a worry on the electricity bill lol. Sounds like a good plan! Can test out new strains in the summer. Im on the flip side, considering 315cmh or 400hps to warm my tent up a little. I'm in flower and have to run a little heater at night. Will definitely run my 12hr cycle on at night next time!

  10. Yup, im still running 1000w HPS for the winter. Crazy to have to run a heater to run LEDs.

Amazon actually dropped the price to $70. I bought three more and im gonna return two of them at the 80$ price point. I can see where one would want to set up a 4x4 tent with 4 of these lights. My little tent is 32''x60''. Im going to run 3 of these in the summer in that tent. Same amount of electricity as a single 315 so im very curious how it works out. Should be able to pull a pretty good crop from 375w of quality LED.
