What size Pots?

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by ExtraTerrestrial, Jun 18, 2019.

  1. I will be topping and scrogging 4 plants in a 4 x 4 grow tent using a home made super soil for medium under a 600 watt HPS. What size pots should I use? Im planning on vegging for 2 months before switching into flower. I was planning on going with 10 gallon fabric pots for each plant. Any ideas?

  2. I did 10 gallons before but I revegged them. it might be an overkill if you are not going to reveg.

  3. I would go 7 gallon pots with 2 months Lst

  4. 7 gallon air-pots or 5 gallon smartpots. Sharpen your saw for harvest.

  5. for your small tent . 9 plants . 3 gallon pots . three rows of plants perfect for that 600 hps. after plants are topped veg height about 8 to 10 inches so short veg . finish height is 16 to 20 inches . pull 2or3 off each plant . this is the best way i found for small areas . if a single plant 10 gallon pot veg 2 foot tall pull 8/12 off it . finish height hope you have the room with the light . 4.5 to 5 foot tall smaller plants are winning in yield . shorter veg . you can do many different strands . less work . higher yield . the quality from small to large plant i like the small plants better with limited lighting .
almost zero pop corn buds . bigger plant need to cut lower branches to stop popcorn buds .
    trust me on this .

  7. In my experience 5gal fabric pots were perfect, 7gal would probably work too. Keep in mind the space to move around so you can work in the tent, especially because in a scrog you can't take the plants out of the tent to work/water whatever. Always wondered how hard it is to water the plants in the back of the tent when scrogging

  8. Mainline for similar results without the net

  9. My tent can open 180 degrees. For watering just attach a piece of hose to the spout of a watering can with some tape and than you can reach those hard to reach places.
