What size inline fan for a 400 watt hps?

  1. I close the tent and the temps go up to 90 degrees! Ambient temps in my living room are 83 degrees. Is this normal? I'm running a 400 watt hps. Here's some pics of the setup. 3. 4 inch fan will suffice

kept my tent temps at 72F steadily, without any other cooling

it's not quite enough for my 600w though

  4. And I think my fan is 170 Cfm, I think it was. 4 inch ducting. Is my setup ok. Should I move stuff around? I know that there's bends. I can fix that. If it's a problem. Also. The fan is pulling air. I heard that's not as efficient. I don't want to run my 800 watt ac if I don't have too!! 😁I'd rather use the power to run my metal halide in the other room.

  8. Can you get the temp of the living room down? Would definitely help to have a cooler source of fresh air. Where are you exhausting the fan too?

  9.

^^^this is what you need to look at it right here. It's your problem and solution.

If your ambient temperatures (mentioned your living room) are at 83, then 90 in your tent sounds like it is where it is suppose to be. Not where you want it but 90 is what you should expect. That'll give you an idea. Is your living room 83 because of the grow?

Get that ambient down and you'll be good. I keep my house at 67-70. AC blows into room via floor vent, gets sucked into the grow, and still run 77-79. FWIW

  12. I'm exhausting it out the window.

  13. Ok. I'm gonna have to just use the ac sometimes when hotter. Just hate using so much power. It's at around 80. I can't open the window. Because my setups in the open.
