I'm growing out of vivosuns smallest tents 2x2x1.5 , it's my first grow, and I got 6 plants in there, 2 of the plants were planted 2 weeks after the others were, and the other 4 are coming up on harvest in possibly 2-3 weeks , whilst the other 2 plants still gonna need 2-3 weeks of flower. Being on a budget I'm avoiding getting another tent, so any suggestions on where I should dry what I harvested. I've read some suggestions around using brown bags to cover the drying buds from getting light while in the same tent as flowering plants, and another suggestion of getting a cardboard box and connect it to one of the tents ventilation holes to get the smell.
is typical of the 'new' growers they always cut them selves short, Id make it a priority to upgrade to a 4x4ft tent here for now you can use the brown bags to cure but to actually dry hang a string above the tent, or hang in a larger box good luck
I did aim for a slightly larger tent but 4x4 is to large for the space I'm working with, ill probably go with hanging it in a box with a dehumidifier
No room. Ok light on drying buds. Does light degrade thc ? Does light make thc ? HMMM lets debate about it. Me personally i just stopped watering the plant in the pot a week before i knew i was going to harvest. Plant s till getting light but drying up to its was ready to use. No issue . Option two . Small tent . Cut the stem. Hang the entire plant in the tent . It will dry in 14 days leave the light on for the other plants its fine . No issues . Option three . Harvest it all put it into a what i like to use . basket holes in the bottom. Make a space on the top of the lights or on the floor all the same. Lot of opinions will be heard about light degrading thc. It will over a long amount of time. Not two weeks. I never noticed degrade in thc i had many samples tested. Hope my opinion helps . I dried in a flower room for years no issues Reason i dried in the flower room was many fans humidity control perfect for drying .
ya it's the debate about light degrading thc during drying that makes me unsure of what to do, but your input helped, depending on what space I'm working with in the tent at harvest , I'll dry it inside with the flowering plants and just minority try to divert light from it, but if dry plants are somehow blocking light to the flowering plants ill dry them out of the tent in a box connected to the ventilation
off topic just curious is that tent 2ft (60cm) in height ? Just asking as mine is that height and I notice you look like you just grew yours straight up and still never hit the light even though yours still has the driver etc attached to it where as I mounted mine directly to rhe frame with them removed. yours photo or auto? I also trained mine to be super low before the stretch (its a autoflower) in fear of reaching the light. I have never grown in such a small space before so asking to know what I could possibly get away with next run lol. this pic is first week of flower cheers
This my first grow so I'm not really experienced, when they were hitting flower they were only at half height , but during flower they hit a growth spurt and the one on the corner shot up practically touching the ceiling
I'm sure it does degrade THC but not in a quantity that's noticeable. They'll be absolutely fine to dry in the tent with the light.
