What should I do about my old job?

  1. I used to work at a pizza place for over a year. I got fired recently because I bought weed at work. I need to find another job. Regardless of where I go they will ask me why I left my old job. Do I just tell them I got fired for pot and <<quit>> weed but keep it out of work completely or don't mention my old job? I did work in another restaurant but that was like 2 years ago that I got fired for missing a shift.

  2. I just wouldnt say anything...but if it comes up i forsure would not say anything about the pot just say you quit

  3. If it comes up, say you quit. If they ask why, say "I didn't like the working environment". It's a safe, neutral, non-committal response that indicates you were the decision maker and doesn't specify any single problem (boss was a douchebag) that might reflect negatively on your abilities or social disposition.

  4. "personal reasons" "conflicts with management" things like that should get ya through/

  5. Alright I'll try that. Thanks guys.
