Since the plants won't be very tall I wonder what size pots can I use? 6in pots? 1 gallon pots? How many quarts are in a 6in pot? Anyone know how many pots or plants can fit in a square foot?
I'd say 3-5 gallon buckets for everything. Germ in cup - then transplant to at least a 3 gallon bucket. questions 2 and 3 depend on the dimensions of said pot.
You wouldn't need a 3-5 gallon bucket for a 12/12 grow. 12/12 grows are naturally not very big because you skip the vegetation phase. I was looking at these 5"x5"x6" square pots in this hydro catalog I picked up yesterday. With these I could do 4 plants per square foot, or in my specific situation a total of 16 plants in my 2'x2' area. This to me sounds very promising. However, will these pots be enough for the 2 months of growth my plants will go through?
Just a thought... but why not use clones in place of seeds? Guaranteed female and it'll go a bit more smoothly. Sounds like you're doin a SoG. Keep us posted on how it goes, I've seen some people end up with really nice overall yields. Btw i wasn't in my right mind when i first posted... the "from seed" part for some reason caught me as a lil big of veg time lol
