hi,im new to growing i have a plant of about 5 inches high,i need advice on what where to grow it? i have a greenhouse so could i put it in there? i dont have any grow boxes as yet,also im considering buying a hydroponics kit is that ok for beginners like myself? also how do i sex a plant? sorry im just new to growing. autty
autty, Check out the journals section for some good examples of different types of grow (soil, hydro, indoors, outdoors.....even one with some carrots ) Have a look for Unoits journal and check out the links at the bottom of each of his posts - everything you need to know is in there if you look for it. You've got loads of reading to do You need to put your plant into 12 hours lights on / 12 hours lights off before they will begin to show you if they are male or female. How old is your plant? If only 5 inches tall and grown form seed then it cant be that old.....i'd maybe let it grow for another week or two before you try to sex it Hope this helps you a bit, best of luck and happy growing......... I would put it under flurescent lights for a month on for 18, off for 6 hours and then on June 21st, put it in your green house. I f you put it out before then, it will sense daylight is still getting longer and won't start to flower till alot later and you won't get as big of buds. If you put it out on June 21st (longest day) then the plants will go into flowerinig imediately. Hope this makes sense. As for sex, Polski explained it pretty well, you can't tell the sex till about 10 days after going into flowering. Good Luck
