Hi, Germinated and then planted two durban poison seeds about two months ago, left on a windowledge in what appeared to be good, houseplant (sorry !), growing conditions. Yes they have stretched but they look and smell fantastic !! Both plants are about 30cm high with three levels of small to hand sized leaves. I used alot of good advice from the beginners page to get this far but now need some advice. How and when do I get them to bud ? Can I trim leaves and the plant survives ? How will the shorter/poorer sunlight effect them this autumn/winter ? Any other useful info would be a great help. Cheers
The plants will bud when adjusted to a 12/12 light schedule (12 on/12 off). Hard to adjust this if you are using sunlight, have to wait for it to change length of daylight or closet them when they get 12 hours light. Trim leaves? Yes. Hack all the stems off a budded plant and get it to grow? I don't think you can. Not sure exactly what you were asking. The shorter sunlight is what gets them to start flowering. The lesser intensity from the sun is still far better for the plant than most artificial light. Cheers mate, love to see some pics. Gg
Hi Gg, Thanks for your reply to my thread, sorry i wasnt clear on all my points. Both plants have budded, white tendrils have appeared, very pungent smell (great !!), when and what should i harvest ? Hope you can help mate. Cheers nevs
