What Lights to use for Veg?

    So if I were to start my plants under lights and put them outside for flower, which type of lights are best for that?

    Cfls, t5/t8/t10/..T12.., LEDs, metal halide, cmh.. I'm missing a few here..

    "Best light" is entirely opinion based. Everything listed above will work.

    I'm still pretty new at this, is there a certain spectrum of light that's best for veg?

    I used this for one of my grows, It was alright, you really need more than $100 for lighting for good yield, I was using about 205 actual wats with this chinese COB it did okay.

    it's the one with the two large diodes

    How many plants will you have under it?
    You could get a T5 fluorescent fixture or a small LED

    Grow box? Tent? Room?
    Size and temp control is a big factor when choosing lights.

    idealy I want to have the plants outside and basically supplement lights with daylight and then when I want them to flower just pull the lights off
