I've noticed very tiny white bugs on my plants. A couple weeks ago a damaged a couple branches while training, so I duct taped them and let them heal for a bit. When I opened the duct tape I noticed these small white bugs hanging out in the plants wound....this has happened to the other plants I damaged too...has this happened to anyone else before? I haven't noticed any damage from the bugs but it's still concerning. How should I get rid of them? P
No they don't fly at least I haven't seen any flying...they're too small to capture on camera. They haven't caused any damage to the plants yet, they're just hanging out in the wound where I broke and duct taped a branch.... P
Really tiny little white bugs I can't make out the features with my naked eye honestly...they don't fly and they're just crawling around the closed up places on where I accidentally broke the plant and it healed.
Hey thanks dude I appreciate you putting in your two cents it was super helpful....too bad you don't know of any ways to deal with pests....I'm sure someone with more knowledge and experience will come along and help me out with ideas on that, and educate the both of us....stay tuned... P
I know plenty of ways to deal with pests. Picked up a few tricks the last 30+ years. Problem is nobody will be able to tell you what pest you have without more details. Your question was what kind of pest/bug is this and I gave you solid information with your limited details No need to be a smart ass bud
Hey congrats on your 30+ years big guy. My post was also asking if anyone had had any experience like this and for advice on how to get rid of them...... you haven't offered anything on either of those questions....so what's the use of that 30+ years of experience when you're not able to share knowledge? P
You're post said nothing about advice on how to get rid of them. You asked what they were. I offered good advice on what you asked.....you need pics or more detailed information to find out what it is. Now you are asking for advice on getting rid of them. Had you been polite I would be more than willing to help. I dont help childish people who run their mouth for no reason .
Reread the last line of the post is says "how should I get rid of them". You sound silly man. Sorry if I caught you in a bad mood or something but c'mon man just read carefully and don't try to be antagonizing..... P
Ap Appreciate your input they look a lot like springtails when I Google them. The part about the moisture makes me think it's definitely them.... P
i first spotted them in my drainage from the pots. never got too bad. keeping moisture under control helps good luck!
If they ARE Springtails, they are beneficial. They feed on decaying organic matter, bacteria, fungus, etc. They popped up in my last grow(first coco grow) and it was the best flower that Ive grown yet. They are in all 3 of my current pots also. I NEVER have seen one ON the plant tho...so that part is odd to me. Hubbabubbasmelloscope Quantum Board Grow
