I was looking to get an HE Domeless nail, but I realized I don't even know if I need a male/female and what size. I recently got a rig.

You just need a 14mm or 18mm male joint on your piece. You could buy a male-male adaptor if you had femlale piece, but at that point you are better off buying an oil piece. Picture of your bong would help. (no need to clean her, I would judge on short notice)
Since you called it a rig, I assume it's a male joint. So next questions would be why didn't you ask the guy at the store what you needed? lol You may need a 10,14,18 or 24 mm nail depending on your joint size, also need to check weather or not you need male or female joint. How much are you looking to spend? Most would be 14 to 18 so a dualiti is an ok nail for $60-70 but only fits male joints. You could get the Infiniti nail($150) which fits both 14 and 18 and both male and female. If it's a 10mm you could get the triniti. Both the trinity and the Infiniti have replaceable heads and are cheaper to replace as apposed to the dualiti where the whole thing needs to be replaced. Is there a reason you want HE? Don't get me wrong, I love my Infiniti nail. Have you tried alternatives? Glass, quartz, ceramic? May want to exhaust all your options before making your purchase. Lastly, stay away from cheap eBay nails and even some on amazon, although they may be partially gr2 TI but will have other metals mixed in it. If you go with TI then go with quality name brand! If you don't know what size you need then I would recomend the HE infinity nail. It fits just about anything. You can also replace the heads on it(huge +). I have a HE dualiti should have just spent the extra $$ for the infinity as when the Dauliti gets old you need to replace the whole thing as where with the Infinity you can just replace the head. Just saw that Ebay has some Highly Educated products. They look legit. Infinity nail for $113 shipped.
Infiniti is king, you can get them for 120 and replacement heads are cheap. I would seriously recommend you change your Ti heads like every 6mo or maybe even less if you dab a lot
