What kills spider mites ? ASAP

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by 4o8stoner, Jun 5, 2020.

  1. Growing in a greenhouse and i got spider mites… theres no webbing at all yet so im still in time to save them, I been giving them some of this (pictures below) and i watered the leaves with cold water as well. What else can i try before it gets worse ? i need something that will actually kill them. Would appreciate any help send any photos, dyi, anything, been using both of these.

  2. I personally used 3in1 miticide from walmart 10$

I used a couple paper plates, cut a slit in it to the center and make a hole for the stem, fit the plate around the base of tree,
Have one person hold the plate and flip the pot, and have another person spray spray fuckin spray.. untill every single part of the tree is just a dripping..
Re-flip plant back to normal and spray spray spray, dont by shy on the spray..
Spray the soil tops, spray the soil trays..
If your by yourself you may be better off to just lift the leaves and spray.. I found flipping abit messy but real efficient as you KNOW you got every single part of the plant.
Wait 5-6days, for the eggs to hatch if there is any then either redo with the miticide or I used insecticidal soap the 6th day.
    Never had an issue since.
*this picture is how I noticed something was wrong... glad I caught it early*

My girls now (month later).. I do regular bug check every 4 days.
    Prevention is better than cure.

  3. I have used 1 part of 3%h2o2 to 5 parts of water to get rid of them when in flower.
You must get the spray to wet the undersides of the leaves.
Isopropyl alcohol mixed with water will kill them too but it can wash the trichomes away .

  4. Azamax worked for my mite issue man

  5. i heard dish soap helps too, you guys recommend that? in a sprayer and a sponge to wipe the eggs down.

  6. so i bought a liquid called green cleaner and it worked perfectly. Killed the mites but there dead on the fan leaves should i give them a bath from top to bottom ? to eliminate the dead bugs ?

  7. Some warm water and a little dish soap with a sponge works well. Keep the sponge moist, you don’t want to be dripping water all over and wipe down the tops and bottoms of the leaves.

  8. it's best to alternate between several different things. I've used insecticidal soap and pyrethrins. Another option is predator mites.

  9. got you, ill do that ill use a sprayer to wipe them down and stuff , after should i water the leaves to get the soap out ? And does soap dropping on the dirt matter ?

  10. Ya it’s prolly not a bad idea to wipe them down with just water afterwards. I really cant say if the soap dripping on the soil is bad or not but I imagine it’s not beneficial and could have a negative affect so I’d try to avoid it. The idea of using a wrung out sponge is that you won’t drip water on anything so the soap mixture is only coming in contact with the leaves.
