So for the past month I've been trying to loose weight.I started going to the gym and changing my diet completely.I use to eat a lot of fast food and processed food especially at night. I'm currentyl 5'7 and 200lbs give or take.I would like to get down to 170 and build muscle by june. Now here is what I usually eat,I've been eating a lot of the same things. Turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with only spinach and tomato Chicken breast with mixed vegtables steak with mixed vegtables Brown rice and beans Slice of bread with organic peanut butter bowl of fiber one cereal with organic soymilk Activia yogurt fruit smothies with greek yogurt lots of vegtables, and some fruits This is basically all I'm eating,I know it isnt a lot.I'm just wondering if I keep eating just this and working out will I be able to loose the weight. Is there anything I should cut out from diet and/or substitute .Also is there anything I should be eating before and after a workout. Any advice aprreciated
Learn new meals when you have time so you don't get bored, there's lots of good ones on the internet! The only other thing I can think of is to try and eat 4-6 smaller meals through the day, rather than 2-3 big meals. Breakfast should be the biggest meals, and try not to eat anything less than 2 hours before bed. Also if you lose weight too fast it is easy to lose muscle instead of fat. As long as you are getting protein and working out, and not starving yourself, I think you should be all right.
I'd lose the bread, and grains in general. Should help you lose weight. Keep eating a lot of fruits and vegtables.
Yeah I was reading about, but there is so much information out there that contradicts itself. Should I be eating carbs after my workouts or should I cut carbs out as well.
