My seeds shipped so I got to get the rest of my supplies ..Since I'm doing a one plant SCRog grow , I'm gonna start in the keg cup then go to a 3 gallon container. So now I need soil , I'm gonna go to the nursery and get some soil, being this is my first grow , I want to try to not use that many nutes , I'm gonna start with FF sea Forest as the base what else would you guys (gals) add to it and how much ? Thanks in advance for the help. Grow spec: Room 39"lx22"wx40"h Lighting 2x2ft T5,5000k 4x23w cfl 6500k, 24/0 for veg , 12/12 2700k flower ventilation: 2x computer fans , one sucking in frsh air one blowing out thru DIY carbon filter Any other ideas or anything I'm missing in the set up . Open to all suggestions
When you go to your hydro store they usually will have some cocoa fiber in packaged bricks. Add in 1/2 to the whole brick with the ffof. Get a little more perlie, i think there is allready some in the ffof, but I know that many people add this to get more air to water ration that the soil can hold. A ph and ppm tester, and maybe some ph up and down, I think they carrie little amounts for smaller grows. If you do not allready have any nutes get the foxfarm three, grow big, big bloom and tiger bloom. With all these products and the proper knoledge it will very easily make a for a great grow.
You might buy a couple of pounds of earth worm castings to suppliment. I second the fox farm nutrients.
Not a great time of year to go soil shopping. You might have to buy off the internet just because it's out of season.
