looks like you topped it and it's growing out 2 more branches. Or are you talking about the tiny bits of green coming out of the topped node?

Can you draw a small arrow pointing to the part you are referring to? I see nothing out of the ordinary so not sure what you mean
if you're referring to those tiny bits of green they're just stipules or brackts..they don't grow...they're just little spiky things. They're also not part of the male or female stuffs...but the male and female parts will show up right next to them on other parts of the plant.
