Well, apple and oranges are both fruit, and are nearly the same color. Would the opposite of an orange be a square vegetable that grows on the ground, of the opposite color of orange?

 

if you want to be literal yea, but in language people say "thats like comparing apples and oranges", so referring to that context, apples are the opposite.
