What is my plant doing ?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by painter1775, Sep 20, 2018.

  1. This is my very first plant ever, the only things I know for sure about it is that it's Indica and it's a female. My question is, is it already starting to flower or is it just still growing new limbs? It's exactly 2 months old, I did a 24/7 light cycle for the first three weeks and been using 12/12 ever since. I do not know if that's right or not, nor do I even know if it's autoflowering. Here are a couple pics of it. IMG_20180920_021311999.jpg IMG_20180920_021305623.jpg

  2. The first pic definitely looks like its flowering.. usually you should keep ur plant away from 12/12 light for atleast the first 30 days till it properly matures.. it wont flower till its mature but exposing it to 12/12 early on cuts down on a lot of light energy that plant will get while lights out..
As for me i veg for 30 days then make my switch.. i picked that up from here GC.. and its been working out great this way.. plants arent super big.. your lighting during flowering will make or break the bud amount & density of ur buds get ALOT of good lighting for flower period

BUT UR PLANTS definitely FLOWERING right NOW

  3. You can switch the light schedule back to 24hr or 18/6 and re veg until you get the plant size you want. As soon as you switched to 12/12 the plant started flowering. It is called photoperiodism the plant reacts to longer dark cycles and begins flowering. It is reacting as if it is fall. Nice thing about indoor you can make it fall anytime you want. Autos are different they have some ruderalis genetics to flower in any light cycle. I doubt it is auto, but if it is, you will want to switch to 18/6 anyway.

  4. Plants will flower regardless of maturity or not.

  5. I disagree a baby plant will not flower.. if u put her under 12/12 from birth.. your not going to get flowers in 2 weeks.. itll grow to maturity maybe about 3-3 1/2 weeks later itll start to show signs of flower meaning its matured enough to even show a gender.. my opionion if im wrong plz educate me

  7. It's just potting soil from my local hardware store

  8. I
I do know that's it's showing signs of gender, as shown in one of the pics. Should I just keep with the 12/12 to keep from stunting it, or should I go back to 24/0 for a while ?

  9. [IMG]yes female, judging from the size, light cycle was changed(so what) that small won’t show over night, age says it may be an auto. IMO [IMG]

  11. Let's just say it's not an auto, do I leave the tiny little buds it's starting to sprout or should I pinch them off ?

  12. No dont pick them off let em grow.. if its not an auto itll just start vegging like normal once you take it out of 12/12 n give it longer light hrs
