What is happening to this plant?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by dreupsisfasterthanfedex, Apr 28, 2016.

  1. It looks to me like it is flowering already, However this is a outside plant, which makes no sense as to why it has started to flower. Any ideas on why this is happening or am I incorrect? Thanks [IMG][IMG]

  2. It's flowering, it flowers based on the amount of time it gets light during the day. Flowers when the weather tells it to outside.

  3. Where you located at? Im having the same problem with my clomes (came from indoors to out)

Most growers told me it happens and not to worry unless theres any real bud formation

  4. Yes I did the same thing! This plant started indoors but was moved outdoors at 20 days. I'm located in Massachusetts. And ok thanks.

  5. Yes I already know that, but it shouldn't start flowering until the summer solstice which won't be for another 2 months roughly.

  6. Yeah youre getting 14 hours of light already. Just give it a couple weeks, it should go back to veg pretty soon.

  7. Ok cool thanks!

  8. I had a plant start flowering on my when i accidentally set it on 16 hours of light instead of 18. It can happen. switched back to 18 put it back in veg but it still threw little pistols out.

  9. Well...no sign of it slowing down. Oh well haha [IMG] [IMG]

  11. Well what did you have the timer on indoors? 18/6, 20/4, or 24/0? The sun sets at the most for 9 hours. So your plants are adjusting and thinking the extra dark period is time to flower. If going from indoors to outdoors always do 18/6. 24/0 with no dark, well that would be pretty shocking to a plant experiencing not only the strongest light of all the sun but darkness as well. It is always recommend to bring outside on an overcast day to make it less stressful on the plant.

  12. It was never a indoor plant. It has been on outdoor light since about December.

  13. I am a new indoor/outdoor growing.

I am also located in California as location has alot to do when your flowering time is.

But at least in California the plants will flower outside year around this expect June and July as they have the longest days and can keep plants in veg.

Veg is 14.5 hours of light and up
Flower will happen below 14.5 hours of Light.

There are about 3 times you can harvest, Feb - may is your spring run, June-Oct/Nov is the summer run and Oct/Nov - Jan is the winter run.

But this only works if you have the weather to do so ... like California

  14. So this accounts for all of Cali? I'm in LA County and am looking for more lighting for flowering.

  15. Well hey...at least I'm gonna have some bud to smoke sooner rather than later. Haha. [IMG]

  16. Well if you are growing outside and you live in Cali then the plant is flowing right when it should. Also you may have some auto-flowering genetics.

  17. Nope, I'm in western mass. That's my guess
