What is curing?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by xXDutchMasterXx, Feb 19, 2009.

  1. What is curing, and how do you do it??

    Anybody knows how this works?
    And whats it for?

  2. I'm assuming you mean the curing of bud. When it's first picked it is trimmed then dried for a period of time, usually around a week. After that it's placed in paper bags and/or jars for the curing process to take place. While the bud continues to slowly dry several chemical processes take place that break down chloryphyll and create other compounds that give cannabis it's distinctive flavor.
