what is codiene exactly?

    someone told me it was like stronger asprin. so does that mean if i took a bunch of asprin id get fucked up? (unlike tylenol, which would destroy my liver)

    Codeine is a opiate. It is rather weak (compared to hydrocodone, oxycodone, etc) but is also different as it is a direct alkaloid found in opium. It is sort of the starting material in making the semi-synthetic opioids such as the ones I mentioned above.

    That being said NO you can not get high of aspirin. Aspirin is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, not an opiate or opioid.

    codeine is a weak natural opiate
    no you couldnt get fucked up off of aspirin
    codeine is a common opiate you have probably had it in prescription cough medicine
