  1. What is an autoflowering seed?
    Just curious

  2. Auto flowering cannabis seeds

Auto flowering cannabis is a cannabis plant that is not dependant on the light cycle to go into flowering, it does it automatically, you simply plant a seed and water, it will grow under 24 hours light a day, then start to flower when that particular strain is ready, most from around 3 weeks to 5 weeks from planting, then it will grow out its bud for a further 5 to 7 weeks, depending on particular strain of auto, so all you need to do is sit back and let it grow, when you see flowers starting change the light bulb to a flowering bulb, wait then sit back and enjoy a good smoke.

i stole that off another site haha why type when you can cut and paste :smoke:

  3. thanks what website you find that from? very informative

  4. Autoflowering plants are hybrids of Cannabis Ruderalis. I'm sure you've heard of Cannabis Sativa and Indica. Those are sought after because they're high in THC/CBN etc. Ruderalis is pretty much hemp in that it doesn't produce a lot of THC however it's desireable because they finish so quick and will flower regardless of light cycle.

So, any breeder worth his salt will breed for the high and yield of an Indica/Sativa, but the autoflowering characteristic of the Ruderalis. That's easier said than done though.

  5. Autoflowers don't have a seperate 'vegetative' and 'flowering' period.

As soon as an autoflower gets mature enough, it starts to nug =], they can stay on any light schedule and nug basically

  6. so autoflowers are best for a noob grower??
or do they yield less than normal seeds?

  7. well that's kind of disappointing.

do you know what autoflower strains yield the most and are most potent?

  8. look at my post again i put a link in for you to check out, theres some good info in there.

  9. 2oz per plant is v nice ^^

as for strains, lowryder's and diesel ryders are classics, you can prolly expect an ounce per plant if grown well, and a v nice smoke. defo check out the resource thread though, its got sooo much useful info.

also, for a noob grower it may actually benefit you to try a normal strain first as you'll learn a lot about the different life stages and such of the plants, but its up to you :)
