what i dont get about mmj

Discussion in 'General' started by budsmokington, Oct 28, 2011.

  1. how is it that some states have it and other dont? I mean like what is the reason, if its proven to be medically useful for californians why isnt it good enough for floridians?

it's not like federal gov't picks themselves which states are getting mmj..

the state's decide themselves whether to legalize medicinal use or not.

Edit: and it still breaks federal law in the end, unfortunately. Which is why so many dispensaries have been raided by dea over the years. It's not just 100% medicinally legal in california.... federal law is still trying to fight against it, although theyre failing.

  3. yea there's really no logic lol.

medically, there isn't a difference between people in different states of course haha

Cause the only people that go out and vote in Florida are all the senior citizens coming down here to retire and die. They grew up brainwashed about blacks and mexicans and their devil weed and it won't be legal down here until they all kill themselves in automobile accidents cause they can't fucking drive, or tip....

  6. Old people are a waste...

    I don't wanna live past 70.

Oh the drawbacks of modern medicine.

  7. damn i thought i was the only one who thought this.

all they do is sit around and play bingo :confused_2:

  8. The main reason is public referendum. Most of the states that have medical marijuana, it was passed by the voters, usually over the objection of their legislators. States that don't have a pubic referendum/ ballot initiative process are left to wait on their law makers to do the right thing.

Then they go for the early bird at my restaurant while taking up two spots with their car and complain until they get something free then leave me a 10% tip on the meal they got 20% off of

I dare you to run a search on "Granny Storm Crow"!

Or if that is too much, click that first link in my sig and just read the titles- no long medical studies or even news articles........ I bet you don't have enough patience to even read all the titles! :p

Can either you MATCH me? A 64 year old little old lady? Or is taking a challenge like that too much for you young'uns?

And you better not call me a "waste" to MY FACE, baby-boys!

Look, the difference between me and them is that I KNOW! Old "Uncle Joe" and "Aunt Rose" will never vote for "legalizing pot".

But show them a medicinal herb that prevents Alzheimer's-

    Protects "Joe's" diabetic heart,

and takes care of his diabetic neuropathy, too!

MediGardens: March 2010: Cannabinoids inhibit and may prevent neuropathic pain in diabetes. (University of Calgary; Alberta, Canada)

And for "Rose", it soothes her Crohn's,

    her aching hands,

    strengthens her bones,

and stops breast cancer before it spreads!

Now if print-ups of these articles (or others from my list) were to "magically" start showing up at senior centers, or left in magazines at doctor's offices, or in laundromats, perhaps the perception of cannabis would change. Since seniors vote, they could make a BIG difference in the outcome of the next election!

  18. Granny, we love you! You are a gem :) but what we mean is most folks your age are completely ignorant and have their beliefs set stone :( it's sad but true. Bless your heart for doing hours and hours of research to fill our young minds with knowledge :D

    OP

Florida has pufmm (People United For Medical Marijuana). I've volunteered with them before, they are all over Florida always going to events to get petitions signed to get it on the ballot next year. Even if it doesn't pass, getting it on the ballot is a step in the right direction. All you need to be is a registered voter in FL. Sign the petition and send it to them. Get your friends, family, everyone to sign. Want to help more? They have a FB page that is always being updated with events. Their website is People United for Medical Marijuana - Florida PAC

  19. Go granny. Tell these young whipper snappers what's up. The "old" folks do a lot more effective work on legalization than the 18-25's.

Take grannies advise, I do regular "seeding" of reading material at the local senior center and laundry mat. I also leave copies of stuff in magazines at the doctors office.

Unorthodox methods of education work. Don't be afraid to try new things. I got a roadside cleanup and we got the first street sign in Michigan with the word marijuana on it.
