What has gotten into "The City?"

It's been said, but it's only normal that with such a large community, one would seem to find people who offend. Like, I am a mod for Planetdoom, and before Doom 3 came out back in 04', I had been a mod at that forum for 3 years. Suddenly, Doom 3 comes out and thosands of trolls and foul mouthed people started flooding our beloved forum. It sucked, but it went away.

Yeah, as you can see, the city goes through waves of this. Our dear friend dchaos51 is a fine example of a problem user.
