    Whatever happened to the hippies? I mean there aren't many left, and the "hippie"s that people refer to as hippies are far from hippies, WHERE ARE YOU?

    I try to be as much of a hippie as i can. :)


    better to be a hippy than one of those white assholes who wear diamond earrings and think they are tough ass gansters.

    i'm sure as hell no hippie but i guess you can say we have allot of the same views. evolution took its place i believe the new Hippie is more of a professional(in the sense of job & lifestyle) which is a good thing we want the public to see that.

    Actually you don't hear about hippies anymore because most of the hardcore ones started their own cooperatives and live on there land and don't both to go out and make a fuss. Also a lot of them we're just bullshitters hopping onto the movement, and so they just gave it all up at some point.

    Hippies are more about being down and just relaxing and chilling. people these days want up. Raves, out clubbing, ecastasy. No more chilling on a bean bag chair listening to jimi hendrix. that ship sailed a generation ago. But im not complaining because im one of those "up" kind of people.

    Hippies were around for along time and one of the reasons they were was because our economy was so good they can move town to town and easily find a job for a few days. Can't do that now.
