What happened to this flowering plant....

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Rabble, Jun 5, 2019.

  1. I did slip up and miss almost 6 days off watering and one side of the plant was burned like this. (First pic: back left)

Then I watered and 3-4 days later watered again, but nothing changed on the bad side. Then another 3 days later I went to water and the whole plant was like this. (Second and Third pic) 20190527_224025.jpg 20190604_221304.jpg 20190604_221309.jpg

  2. Am I seeing something webby on the really dry bit?
That could be a spider-mite infestation which doesn't help things at any stage...but I'm thinking I might just be looking at a blurry bit of the picture.

An existing PH imbalance may have made it worse? Who knows.

I mean obviously it's really dry...the lack of feed/water at that stage is really gonna fuck with things...the stem on that thing is a monster, so at that stage of size/flowering not only is it going to need to eat more, but it's really, REALLY equipped to
Imagine drinking fast through a juicebox straw, then a McDonalds straw...it can and will take more, faster.

You may have completely exhausted/fatigued some of the roots under the worse bits too...like they're trying to get at something that's not there...and nothing but solid dry wall is in the way...I don't imagine in plant terms, that would be a very good thing to go through, I believe some damage is irreversible.

Fucking hell man...I'd be so low if I were you right now...that's a lot of time and effort put in...I see a few flower sites that look like they could theoretically pull through but it's a damn lower percentage.
I'm sorry, my heart goes out man.

I'd suggest like as soon as you can, do this shit:
Trim off all the shit that's not gonna make it. towards the bottom.
Smear some (real) honey on the wounds.
Let the plant put all remaining energy just into the stuff that'll survive.
Since you've fed it twice, give it a flush, SLOWWWWWLY, and make sure your PH is on point.
Make sure to spread around your water.
Then give it another like...maybe 2/3 strength feed.
This is *just off the top of my head*...if this stuff doesn't work, sorry...it's what I'd do...if it saves some of it? cool.

I believe there are some foliar sprays you can buy that supposedly invigorate plants...may or may not help...?

    Fuckin'...ouch...Keep things updated.

  3. Thanks a bunch! The way you put it, had invigorated me ... I'm going to do the things you said and think like you're thinking and I'll see what comes out of it.

I like the idea of cutting everything else that is not flowering and have it focus on the following parts.

    Questions:
When you say smear real honey on the wound, you mean the one in my kitchen cabinet and by wound you mean the place where I cut off the lower parts?

By slowwwwly, you mean pour water (3x Size of pot) for flush, slowly as possible instead of dumping jugs upon jugs or using hose, correct?

    Know anything about Hydroguard?

pH 6.6 is my level that I use.

Below is a picture of my feeding etc so far. ezgif.com-gif-maker.jpg

  4. All good man, just throwing in what I'd do...and it may or may not work...

When you say smear real honey on the wound, you mean the one in my kitchen cabinet and by wound you mean the place where I cut off the lower parts?

Yes, just honey. But the real stuff. Sometimes when you get like cheaper honey, it's not all honey, it's homey and sugar syrup. Could work, but may not. Pure honey, a $10 jar or one from a local farm if you can get it, will seal off the wound (and yes, I mean from the bits you cut off) and like...I've found it stops rot etc from cuts.

By slowwwwly, you mean pour water (3x Size of pot) for flush, slowly as possible instead of dumping jugs upon jugs or using hose, correct?
Yeah man, that way it'll have time to absorb into/past any dry clumps that may have formed.

    Know anything about Hydroguard?

    Nope.

pH 6.6 is my level that I use.

I'd try to lower it just a little bit. 6.6 is right on the top end.
Maybe aim towards more like 5.7-6.3 which is a bit above the minimum and a bit below the maximum.

  5. Thank you again!

One more; you know I'm using soil right, Fox farm Ocean Forest to be exact.

So 5.7-6.3 pH is the way to go? And I will easily hit the medium of that, 6.0, is that fine or am I feeding it different levels between 5.7-6.3, on different feeds going forward.

  6. Fuck man looks like a mess in there. My first grow went shitty too.

Looks like they are burnt and agree with other blades that looks like a spider mites infestation if those are webs I see.

  7. I meant to address that, no that is just blurry. Lol I would've died if those were webs!
