What exactly are Worm Castings?

    Anyone here who fishes may be familler with while baiting a worm sometimes they "shit" all over your hand.

    Is this "shit" the castings? Or do worms molt or something?

    that shit is the castings. they leave it behind as they travel, like a big tube. its good shit.

    I figured I'd get my own since I keep hearing store bought castings are expensive.

    How much is alot? We live on a lake and fish at least 3 times a week, so I know where I can find lots of fat worms.

    You would need a couple cups, maybe more, i usually put 1/4 bag into my mix, sometimes half, depending on how many im growing.

    But it would be alot easier to buy it, trust me.

    yea, worm castings get me through my dry periods. its too intense for me though, Id rather stick to the softer shit.
