What does weed make you sacrifice

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by mrmuffinman, Dec 12, 2012.

  1. Have you guys ever took the time to analyze how much you spend on weed. I dont mean like "45 a week for an eighth". I mean like say you get grams for 15, each time you smoke half a g thats $7 or if you roll a gram blunt thats a whole $15. So what im sayin is are there things you used to buy or do regulerly that the cost of weed no longer allows u to do? For instance i dont eat out with friends as much or hit up the theatre for a movie too often anymore

  2. haha food was exactly what I was gonna say.
fuck it I have food at home lets buy a 1/4.

  3. not really. I do whatever i want and high as shit most of the time

  4. Like most questions like this, the answer is going to vary quite a bit depending on each person's life situations.

    For example:
When I was nearly broke and in college, I didnt smoke nearly as much because I couldnt afford it. If I wanted to, I had to choose between smoking or a night out drinking at the bar... depending on the night and who was going or what bar it was, sometimes weed won, sometimes it didnt.

Now, I can cruise through a 1/4 a week and it doesnt affect my budget one bit. Different time in life, more $$ to throw arounnd... since I dont have kids... yet.

  5. I only buy weed when I have spare cash, so I don't really sacrifice anything.

    I don't see it as a necessity.

  6. Money is the only thing I can think of, I could always spend it on something else but my family buy's me anything If I ask for it nicely so no real sacrifice really.

  7. Living on campus, I have my room and food paid for. I worked hard this summer saving up and now i pay almost 6$ grams, so I go trough a lot of herb weekly, and i don't mind spending the money cuz I love it.

  8. Lol.. my aux cord broke like 6 months ago and I still haven't replaced it because of weed :(

  9. Used to put all my money into my car and video games haha now it's weed and gas.

  10. i sacrifice alot sometimes. But nothing big.

Like this morning i sacrificed my brain when i waked and baked KNOWING i had a math test today. I still passed that shit like a G though ;)

  11. I would end up buying more video games to deal with the extra time

  12. money, time, life..etc

I feel like smoking weed takes you away from the normal things you would do in your life if you weren't high. I feel like it holds you back. The funny thing is that I don't feel like this about hash, but hash is rare here so I'm stuck smoking weed which is more of a depressant than hash.

Hash is more medicinal than weed, imo,

What the fuck are you talking about? Hash is just concentrated resin glands from weed. Thus hash is no more a depressent than pot is, though that's somewhat of a moot point considering that cannabis isn't really considered a depressant at all- its usually seen as being in its own unique class or occasionally it's called a mild psychedelic.

And if you feel that weed takes away from your life, stop fucking smoking it. I find it hard to believe that weed alone can make you feel "held back," rather I think that maybe your usage of cannabis recreationally is amplifying deeper issues you may have. Take a break from the weed, work out those (money/emotional/family/girl etc.) issues, get back on the cannabis train and then you'll be able to appreciate the awesome substance that marijuana is.

In reply to the OP, weed makes me sacrifice nothing. To me, cannabis has absolutely no drawbacks. I was considering mentioning the negative stereotype that smoking pot has; but then I remembered that I really don't give a fuck about such judgmental, base views. Money would be another contender for a possible drawback, but I'm broke as fuck and I still see money as no issue. Money is only a tool used to catalyze a man's pursuit of happiness- and one of the ways I pursue happiness is by smoking weed.

  14. Damn, you seem like an unpleasant person to be around. Glad I don't know you besides the bs you spewed to me on here. What I meant is that makeup or marjuana..cbds..etc, make me feel a lot more cloudy and "held back" than hash, which is just mostly thc does. Hash high and weed high is much different. One makes me feel fatigued, lethargic and down while the other makes me feel high, light and more energized. I do feel like marijuana makes you more cloudy, heavy and depressed than hash does. Yell at me all you want.

  15. weed and gas and glass.

  16. double post: edit

  17. You have not the slightest clue how wrong you are.

That's unfortunate- I wish I knew you; it would give me a chance to better communicate the knowledge (not "bs") I'm trying to put forth. Also, its a bit ironic that I "seem like an unpleasant person to be around" yet you are ready to label someone else's knowledge as "bs" and then tell them you are in fact glad you don't know them in-person.

Once again, hash is just concentrated marijuana. As long as the hash is made properly you will not notice a difference in the type of high you have when compared to flowers (aka nugs, buds) from the same strain. You may get more high with hash, but it will have the same type of high as the bud it was produced from.

I'm not saying your totally wrong here: My hypothesis is that when you buy buds, you are buying an indica-dominant strain whereas the hash you buy is more sativa-dominant. This would explain the difference in your experience; sativas give you an uppy, energizing high while indicas make you want to sit on your ass and sleep.

    Any time.

  18. Money pretty much op. but I don't mind as long as I'm responsible and everything is paid and taken care of

  19. I call your "knowledge" bs because you're essentially arguing with someone about their personal experience. I've smoked both indica dominant and sativa dominant mj. The mj I get tends to be more sative dominant. I still feel more cloudy and lethargic smoking the plant than I do smoking hash. Most of the hash I've smoked has been sativa dominant, but I've smoked heavy indica hash and the high never made me feel lethargic or cloudy, more like calm, relaxed and soothing.

You don't know what you're talking about, kid.

  20. Money, but I usually smoke with friends so we all pitch in. Weed has made my life a lot better by bringing me closer to some people and just opening up my eyes to the possibilities of the herb.
