What does red rep mean?

Just wondering... whenever I click the REP button is has an "I Approve" option... Do you get the ability to "Disapprove" later? Because I notice people saying -rep and I'm sure approving on someones rep does +rep.

 

No. Only mods and people with red names can give out neg rep.

 

Generally reserved for vagabonds, sexual predators, aborted fetuses and the like.

But really, It's not hard to hack the rep system, you gotta just put as many curse words as you can in your little message thing. That way it weighs out toward the negative side of the scale and the mods moderate the messages and when they see A LOT of profanity they give that person neg rep...
